Mod 60's

 

Have you seen the movie Moonrise kingdom? 

Well, that's what this outfit reminded me of, when I wore it 2 weeks ago.

Fun fact: I'm wearing this dress backwards again :D

Do you love the fashion from the 60's? Personally the 1920's and 1960's are definitely my top 2 with a little from the 40's.

Pale for life

I sat in front of my computer with this pictures, complaining of how pale I am. 

You would think my skin has never seen sunlight.  

 -True story, when I was a kid, my dad would pinch both my cheeks to get some color on my face. lol -.-

I'm just one of those people that has tried tanning, ending up with a bad, bright red, sunburn. 

Even my scalp has got sunburned once. That was not fun. 

*side note: Just picture me brushing my hair then 0_o

Failing continuously to tan when I was in my teen years, led to finally giving up. Now all I do is sunscreen. 

Gotta take care of the skin, I guess, and that means pale for life.

To shorten a dress

 Yes, it's a little longer than pictured and no, I didn't cut it. 

my trick to shorten the dress?... safety pins and a hair tie :P

Learning to pace myself

Remember when I said I was over wearing this belt? lol, Can't get enough  of it!

This outfit is from 2 weeks ago when I went with Chris to get stuff to decorate the house, exchange stuff we didn't want and such. 

I'm trying to keep my sanity as I decorate the house.
I have way too many ideas and projects overwhelming my brain, with no time and not much money a week to get it all, lol. But little by little it can be done.
I just need to learn to pace myself.

In other news, we bought a couch!! psyched!!

I'm excited to finally get rid of that old, uncomfortable love seat, that is all :P

Olive you belt

I think I've been over wearing this belt to the point that in my mind it goes with everything. 

Maybe it does; I just love the shades of Olive green on it. 

Also, does anybody know where I can find olive green tights? I've been on the search without luck. 

Crossing fingers I do find some this year, and if so, I'll probably end up over wearing them just like this belt, lol.

Brunch date

It's not often Chris has a free morning on Saturdays, usually he leaves for work around 7:30am.

Two Saturdays ago when he had to work later hours, instead of morning, I knew a breakfast (which ended up being a brunch) was taking place. 

We got to go to one of our favorites, First Watch. 

That place is the perfect breakfast/lunch place. And if you happen to go anytime soon, try their new strawberry mint cooler, Its the perfect summer drink. :P

On our way home it started raining, hence outfit pictures are inside instead of outside.

I spent the whole afternoon and evening in this outfit... Even though its cute, it's also very comfy. 

Little fun fact, The blouse is backwards lol!!! I knew that, when I bought it, but forgot all about it when I put it on. I guess you never think of the buttons being on the back, lol... but next time I'll wear it the right way... At least now I know I can wear it two ways! hehe.

No Choice

Last night Chris and I said goodbye to the cute kitty we've been taking care of for the past 2 weeks. 

Once I got home, after dropping him off at his owner's house, I was so sad... 

It's funny to see how you grow so attached to a pet, mostly when they are babies, It's like you raised a child or something and you are letting them go. 

All I know is that a piece of my heart went with the kitty and I will miss him and the fun pictures that would take over my instagram.

...So changing the subject a bit, the overalls I'm wearing are super old. They have, many times, been on the giveaway pile, but I always end up rescuing them. Well, I finally wore them again, they are cute and I just can't let them go... just like the kitty I guess, although on that one I had no choice :P
