Float Away Set

float away set + sensual military duster + marrakesh leather pendant + arrow stone ring + breaker heel boot : Free People

After a nice relaxing week in North Carolina, a crazy week moving houses, followed by a fun 10 day tour with my band (The Anchor Collective), I can say I'm happy to be back on the blog!! It's been busy busy busy around here.

Sets are fun and just the best, because you can always pair the tops or bottoms with anything else in your closet. This top may have to make a come back with some jeans.
I was so happy to have found this one in the sale room at my store. It's so soft, comfortable, and makes me feel like I should have a photo-shoot in the desert; just give me a headscarf and a camel.

As you all know I love anything neutral and minimal, but believe me when I say some posts will come with some surprises. I've been liking a few colors and prints recently.

Stay tuned!

The Runaways tee + Breaker heeled boot: Free People | jeans: Rag & Bone

Being a musician, I have a weakness for classic band tees. So its obvious that one of the many things I love about Free People is their band tees. And yes, it seems I've started a collection:

-Van Halen
-Fleetwood Mac

I love the simplicity of 'The Runaways' (Joan Jett) tee. The rich cream color is a nice tone to slightly break away from the ivory/white I wear all the time.

Light blue is a color I've never quite liked for jeans; probably because I could never find a wash I loved, until now. As soon as I spotted this high waist pair of Rag & Bone jeans I knew it was the perfect light vintage wash I was looking for. Plus they are comfortable, so I am and will be wearing them a lot.

Overalls, Coffee and Music

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Overalls + ring: Free People | boots: Madewell | shirt: Everlane | watch: Daniel Wellington

Nothing says comfort like a pair of overalls... and this pair takes overalls to a 'cute' level. Cute and comfort, I'm in. Who says they are just for kids?

I've been on the search for new music and I came across a few bands I'm currently digging. Lord Huron's beautiful relaxing sound mixed with some Jack and Eliza's vintage 60's guitar vibe with a Beachboys-like vocals have become part of my days off as I sit and enjoy some freshly brewed coffee. I would suggest you check them out.   -You are welcome.

Baja Top

Baja pullover top: Free People | sunglasses: Madewell | shorts: Dstld | shoes: Converse

It's summer, but I couldn't say no to the cutest hoodie. It would be perfect for the beach if I only lived in Cali. But for Florida it's meant for rainy days combined with air conditioned rooms... sigh...

I practically live in this hoodie. Who wouldn't? The colors are perfect.

So a coffee shop somewhat near me opened in the last couple of months called Switchbox. Cool place, but most importantly their coffee is great as is the people that work there; because no one likes a coffee shop with snobby employees.

The hubs and I have been there a couple of times now, and this time I bought myself some Ethiopia blend beans to brew at home, and I'm loving it. What can I say! I love me some chemex coffee.
