Birthday Fit

Birthday month is finally here, and this year I was able to (for the first time ever) not work on my birthday!

This was my birthday fit, and as you've seen on a previous post, I love biker shorts. Everyone should own a pair.
The backpack was a present for my birthday and it's so perfect. I can carry everything I need for a day out in it, and it's perfect for my work laptop. Win win!

Chris and I had a fabulous time on my birthday. We both had off and visited the cutest place in West Palm called Elizabeth Avenue Station. If you're ever in that area, it's a must to visit. There was great coffee, records, plants for sale galore and down the street so many options for food and drinks. It was PERFECT.

At this place, I bought my very first plant ever, a monstera (by first I mean not a succulent, cause that's all I've ever bought before). I'm so excited about this monstera. It's BEAUTIFUL, and makes me excited to get more plants.

Here's to another year around the sun. It will be a great one.

p.s. I'm on my third week of workouts, can I hear a hurray?!

Biker Shorts

Biker shorts, you either hate them or love them. I Choose the latter. There's nothing to hate imo.
I used to own a pair years ago, that I wore to death. Here is a link to an OLD PHOTO. Also Wowza! Brown Hair with red mahogany dye, we had good days.

I'm happy that biker shorts are back, and that you can style them in so many ways: Whether it be boots, mules, sneakers, crop tops with an oversized jacket, a tee, or a tunic blouse. If you are on the verge of buying them, do it.

Here I paired mine with this oversized band tee, and by oversized I truly mean it; I bought 2 sizes too big because it was the last one in stores, and your girl can't wait for a restock. How cute is the cheetah print on the classic Rolling Stones logo tho.

Unto other things, Chris and I went full moon kayaking last week, and it was a great experience! My fear of falling in the water dissipated, no idea how. If you know me you know I have fears. But who knows, maybe I'm growing out of it because life is too short to be scared to do all the fun things you want to do, right?... Still I will not ride a roller coaster again tho. But I don't consider being on a ride that turns you upside down, fun.

Along with a fun kayak adventure, we also enjoyed a fun weekend with our friends at Halloween Horror Nights in Universal. Stranger Things house? Amazing!!! If you are planning on going, have no fear...

... Be Lizette in the kayak.

Hurricane or Not.

Greetings from Florida, as we wait to see if hurricane Dorian -is, or not- coming. Gotta love the news outlet and all their "it could, it may...". But this hurricane is very sneaky so I can't blame them.

We are prepped with food, water and lemon drops (insert happy emoji on that). The hubby kept buying things in preparation for the storm like: bed fans, collapsable water containers, lanterns. Yup, anyone else out there like him?... We are ready for a hurricane or a zombie apocalypse. I can't complain.

Now to divert from a yes/no hurricane, I wore this outfit last weekend:

It was time to bust out the old wide brim hat, and I love the color on this one. I've worn it before, but this is the first time it debuts on this blog. I think.

The white sneakers are my new babies and I plan on keeping them white. I've bought all my cleaning supplies, so I will let you know how that goes! These are from Madewell and they are waaay more comfortable than the classic white leather converse. I recommend.

I will catch you on the aftermath of Dorian. Keep safe fam!

I'm back. The end.

No, but seriously, this blog had seen it's last days... or so I thought. But looking through old posts changed my mind a lot. So I must announce: I am back again.

Now lots of changes have happened since my last post. So it's time for Updates:

1. I left Free People. It was T I M E!
2. I started working at this awesome company, Ultimate Software.
3. The hubby also now works for Ultimate Software - I know, BIZARRE!
4. Got my ear cartilage pierced - Most PAINFUL experience, but WORTH it!
5. Chris and I are in route to hopefully buying a house in a few months !!!!
6. Im getting my wisdom teeth taken out next week, and I'M FREAKING OUT! I've never had surgery before and at 31 I'm a big chicken about it. I'll let you know how it goes.
7. Wells Coffee Company is where we spent most of our Sundays. Can't pass up good coffee and if you are ever in Fort Lauderdale is a must.
8. I Know I'm missing things, but I can't recall. so we will leave it at that. - No kids yet for those wondering.

This is my Sunday Fit. I love a good set and one that I can be in with this heat. Let's talk about that, South Florida, can you please cool it? It's UNBEARABLE!

Here's to continuing blogging. Catch you on the next post!
