This flowy long skirt, it's a fun one to wear, hands down. 

I'm even wearing heeled boots, and it's still almost touching the floor. I love that.

I wore this to our church, The Anchor Church, one year anniversary on January 26th. 

What?!!! It's kind of crazy to think it's been a year since it all begun!!!!

I remember when we first started, and met in a living room. 

It's a huge blessing to be able to see how far God has brought us and continues to grow us, as a family and as a church.

To our pastor Erik Bennett and family, a huge thanks for leading a God centered church, we can all call family.

This outfit is from a few weeks ago. I love this sweater, it's comfortable and beautifully crafted.

Big sweaters, maxis and boots. One of my favorites.

So tell me again, why are weekends so short?!!!

Chris and I headed to Orlando, this past weekend, to celebrate our Valentine's early.

But we have to agree that next vacation will just have to be longer than 2 days, no question...

...Regardless, we had a wonderful time, and of course, we went to Harry Potter world-our usual spot. 

-Yes I know, we should just move there- lol. 

The weather was wonderful, around the 50-60's -Best ever!!!- Plus I had packed like 5 sweaters, so I was more than ready to face the winds. :D

Where did January go?

I know I haven't been posting as often, but where did January go?

It's like time goes much quicker, as I get older; and to think that later this year I'll be 27, and my husband will be 30- what?- That's scary!!

...We are grandparents, without grandchildren

...Nah... late 20's, early 30's still pretty young. Right?! :D

So Chris and I will be going again to Orlando this weekend, for an early Valentine's/a much needed mini vacation.

We've been doing a bit better since all that happened at the beginning of the year, but in all truth, if it wasn't for God, our friends and family, this would've been a much harder process.

Seriously, to everyone of those special people in our lives, if you are reading this, you are amazing, and we thank God everyday for you, your prayers, and for being there for us!!!

Victorian Rustic

When my mom came from Argentina, for my wedding, she brought this sweater with her. As she pulled it out of her luggage, I couldn't stop staring at it.

Of course she didn't hesitate to give it to me after she saw my face; even though I asked her like a million times if she was sure she wanted to just give it to me. After all t was her favorite too, but that's my mom :) 

The sweater has a rustic/Victorian feel to it, and the sleeves are just my favorite. 

She is going to love this post, because she has been asking if I've been wearing it :)

Down memory lane

On Christmas day I got my green on, and Chris and I embarked to mom's house to celebrate in family.

 I must add it was a cloudy ish/ (sunny as the day progressed) on Christmas, that on the pic below you can easily confuse the background with being a snowy day up north :P

I remember when Chris's mom and I discussed months ago, who was going to host thanksgiving and Christmas at their house. 

I wanted to do Christmas, but she said "I always do Christmas at my house, you can do thanksgiving" 

So that we did. And I'm glad it was like that.

It turned out to be a great Christmas. We all met at her house, opened presents, enjoyed a wonderful meal and watched some of Chris's and his brother's baby videos. 

Afterwards, of course, Chris and his mom grabbed the Xbox controllers and decided to play 'Call of Duty', one of her favorites. Yes, you read that right. 

She was that cool mom who had her own Xbox and a bunch of video games. 

The more guns the better, lol.

Christmas was the last day we spent with her..

She will be missed, but we will never forget that day, nor many of the old memories that we have with her, to remember and smile.

2008, when Chris and I were dating for almost a year. 

This was the first thanksgiving I had with his family. 

Mom said: "no more pictures, I have hat hair" lol I kept being her paparazzi that day. I couldn't help it, I had a new camera to play with. :) 

This next two pictures were at a much later time. We had a mini road trip to Orlando for Harry Potter world for the first time!!!

This next picture (below) cracks me up. 

Every year before Christmas, Chris and his mom would go get a real Christmas tree. So I would always accompany them in their adventure. 

One year mom and I picked the tree that Chris didn't want, and once we got home we realized it was indeed a very naked, skinny charlie brown tree and that Chris was right... 

The following year, mom and I took this picture together reminding ourselves to keep quiet when Chris is looking for the perfect tree. Lol!!!

This picture was Easter last year. Look at mom's chinky smile!! so cute!

 I couldn't find a way on how to start this post.. nor do I think there's any easy way to write it...

...On New year's eve, we found out that my husband's mom, (my mother in law), Donna, went to be with the Lord. 

It's been the toughest start of the year for us, so sudden and unexpected.

Truly, we don't understand this loss in our lives, but we know and rest assured that she is now rejoicing with our father in heaven; and that even though we are in deep sorrow, we hold on to this hope that is found in Jesus, and comforts our heavy hearts.

We are so thankful for everyone that has prayed for us, with us, and kept us company in this hard times. It hasn't been easy but being surrounded by our friends and family has helped us tremendously.

Mom you left us way too soon, but this is not a goodbye, for we know one day we will see you again, in heaven.

We love you <3

P.S. Today we are a having a memorial service, at 7 pm at First baptist Weston, in the student center.
