I wore this outfit like a month ago, and just now I'm getting to do a post about it. I'm so behind, but being super busy lately has kept me from blogging, and now with more rain coming our way who knows when pictures will be taken for my next blog post.

But I'm not closing the doors here yet, I promise!

My job at Free People is going really well. I love the atmosphere as well as the people that work there. And the even greater news is hearing that I got a promotion! Now you are looking at your new Senior Stylist at the Fort Lauderdale location. Over the moon over here! Come and visit.

Ash Platinum

Working retail has definitely boosted my confidence on my hair color choice. There were times where I wasn't sure if the platinum was doing me any favors, but I've gotten so many compliments in the past couple of weeks. Hats off to my hairdresser Vanessa Dunson, she is amazing.

I have people ask me what shampoo I use to keep it looking from going copper-ish after a wash. The not so secret? I use Shimmer Lights by Clairol -shampoo and conditioner. It's purple in color, so it gets rid of the yellow copper tones in your hair. 

Ash platinum is here to stay! 

Now about the outfit: this cardigan reminds me of Rey's outfit from Star Wars. It's a great versatile piece that looks cute with jeans, shorts, dresses or possibly a Rey costume for Halloween?
The shorts have an abstract print but it makes me think of feathered native american headdresses. Anyone else see that?

This soft sleeveless sweater is cool and comfortable enough to wear in this nasty summer heat. My love for neutrals never dies; I just can't ever have enough white tops. 

I look forward to the beginning of each month, as it's when the Free People catalog arrives. My last favorite catalog was back in April 2016; I wanted to jump inside every single page and join in on the adventure. The August issue has me swooning over almost every page, and there's a lot of pieces I'm already loving... Excuse me while I go chase my wallet, I think I heard it run away.

Nothing says comfort like a pair of overalls... and this pair takes overalls to a 'cute' level. Cute and comfort, I'm in. Who says they are just for kids? 

I've been on the search for new music and I came across a few bands I'm currently digging. Lord Huron's beautiful relaxing sound mixed with some Jack and Eliza's vintage 60's guitar vibe with a Beachboys-like vocals have become part of my days off as I sit and enjoy some freshly brewed coffee. Baja Top

It's summer, but I couldn't say no to the cutest hoodie. It would be perfect for the beach if I only lived in Cali. But for Florida it's meant for rainy days combined with air conditioned rooms... sigh...

I practically live in this hoodie. Who wouldn't? The colors are perfect.

So a coffee shop somewhat near me opened in the last couple of months called Switchbox. Cool place, but most importantly their coffee is great as is the people that work there; because no one likes a coffee shop with snobby employees.

The hubs and I have been there a couple of times now, and this time I bought myself some Ethiopia blend beans to brew at home, and I'm loving it. What can I say! I love me some chemex coffee.

Am I cooking in an oven? This summer is getting to be too much. I believe white is the perfect summer outfit since it doesn't attract as much heat as dark colors do. But I have to say it, Summer is my least favorite season.

I love the Bombay tank from Free People, and I'm all about the lace halter bra which adds a cute detail to the low neckline. Also, have I mentioned I'm becoming a magnet for accessories? Working at Free People is going to increase my newest addiction: belts and rings.
