Leather suspenders

Hello rain day, we meet again. yes, see that shadow like thing on the floor? well is not a shadow, is the wet floor from a previous rain shower.
I can't wait 'till is winter (or more like winter in the mornings, summer in the afternoons, Florida winter) where there is no rain. Seriously, we need some cool winds coming our way soon, I can't stand the heat any longer :0

I love suspenders on guys and on girls, and even more if they are leather and unisex, because not only I have suspenders but these awesome leather pair would be Chris's too, when we are married :P so he is lucky :)

Chris, my fiancee and I went to look at wedding bands for him last night, it was fun and we have some good options :) I still cant believe we will be married in a little less than 2 months :D!!!!!

As many of you know I'm on a shopping ban ever since Chris and I got engaged, because let's face it, weddings are expensive.
Last night Chris needed to run by target to acquire some food and contact solution. I was dreading to go with him I mean I'm really trying not to shop and any clothing/accessory store is very alluring!.
He says "well Lizette you don't have to look at stuff" ...but seriously that is like taking me to the zoo and telling me to not look at the giraffe!
Anyways, I ended up getting a bottle of nail polish, and that was all, so I'm still proud of myself for not walking to the clothing section :P ::insert claps here::

In another note I leave you with this cute post i run into, about a Creative dad taking crazy cute fun pictures of his daughters. So so cute! worth to look at:

Backwards cardigan makes a top

cardigan and shorts- F21
flats-UO

I love wearing my cardigans, or tops backwards a lot because it creates a fun v shape in the back that always looks pretty. So if you have a cardigan you love just flip it and create a top!

It was forecast to rain so nothing like a long sleeve top and shorts because is too hot to wear pants and long sleeves at the same time in this Florida weather, and i always prefer shorts over pants any time anyways.

I'm obsessed with camel\mustard and mint lately, what do you think? I'm really addicted to this combination of colors, as well as mint and teal. do you like it too?

On a side note Chris and I are watching Breaking Bad, such a good show, we are addicted to it and if you are not watching it yet you should get on that! ;)

Rose, ice cream and a smile

I'm not your regular all teeth smile, girl. Since i never really had braces I know i don't have the perfect smile. but regardless I decided to smile in the last pic :D so yay here is a smile to you!

I love the color of this blouse its very close to the rosewood color I'm using at my wedding, so I extra extra love it :D

It was a hot hot Sunday yesterday, that I convinced Chris to take me to the ice cream store... what a big mistake that was, seriously the pleasures of this world are truly misleading. My stomach was not happy with me the rest of the night. Want to see how big this ice cream was?

yep, I know what you are saying... gluttony... ::insert embarrassed face here::

and this is Chris and I last night on our own elements lol, after hanging all day we each give our own time to do stuff we love, he works on his surfboards, i work on my fashion blog :D

have a fabulous Monday! ;)

Hello blog world, I haven't seen you in a week! With all the wedding invitations I've been working on I truly didn't go out anywhere this past week, hence the minimal posts. So if you were wondering what I've been wearing all week, it's been tights, pullovers, and hair in a bun to work on wedding invites/ Which, btw, big hurray for getting them done :D it's definitely one thing off my to do list to worry about.

Yesterday I finally went out to Starbucks with my sweet fiancee to grab some pumpkin spice latte and salted caramel mocha. Yay for fall! Also he got me to watch Newsroom, a show he has been talking about for forever, trying to convince me to watch; I finally gave it a try and I actually kind of like it.

So this is what I wore, and it felt good to finally get out of my tights and pullovers, and what better than to wear a super cute daisy necklace I forgot I had.
It's really hard for me to dress down. If I could wear a cute dress or a well put together outfit and be home all day I would probably do it. I just cant stand being in laid back clothing. Is that bad? Who knows, I don't think it's bad to want to be cute all the time :P my fiancee says he would love it if I wore pj's all day, but I really dread wearing pj's during the day or in public, unless I'm sick, so no worries, you would not be seeing any PJ outfits posts from me ever :P

Have a happy Sunday!

This dress was never a favorite of mine, i got it from Etsy about a year ago.  I've noticed things online tend to look different once they arrive to your house (story of an online shopper).
I was about to put this dress in the giveaway bag a while back when i tried it on and thought maybe i should give it a try.. well, i gave it its chance and i kind of like it, not sure if i will be wearing it again anytime soon but i think is somewhat a cute vintage dress.

So a couple weeks ago Chris and i stumbled upon this park a friend told us about, ever since I've been wanting to take pictures there.
I love love the wooden walls, i asked Chris if we could go there sometime; the perfect day was on sunday.

Right after church we went to lunch with some friends and then headed out to this beautiful park.
I truly don't understand how this park is empty, i would picture people sitting under a tree or on a bench to read; this park is small but really cozy and pretty.
Chris and i will probably be coming here a lot to read and hang some afternoons and maybe more pictures :).

Before going to the park i told Chris i wanted to take pictures of him, he was like "uh what do you want me to do?" haha, he is so cute and he looked so handsome with his new haircut, i had to take a few pictures, well the only couple pictures he would let me take of him, lol.

Tree Tops

blouse (navy)-H&M
pants (coral)-windsortore
necklace-modcloth

For a while now I've known I'm not an outdoor person, even though I used to be a tom boy when i was younger. Yes, I wasn't a girly girl considering I loved playing street fighter (still kind of do) until my fingers would get blisters from pressing all the buttons on the controllers, so my character would do all the hard fight combos that no one could ever get (insert embarrassed/proud of my somewhat geek-ness).

I've heard before that my mom used to be a tomboy herself. She was raised with two sisters and ten brothers, so I think you can figure out why she was so.
My mom would compete with her brothers to climb the highest trees, eating contests with whole watermelons, so I truly think she was way more hardcore than me :P

In other not-so-news, Chris (my fiancee) knows that I'm not outdoorsy at all! But seriously, living in Florida has shown me every type of bug in existence to the point that after walking into many spiderwebs at night I have learned my lesson and prefer doing activities inside in the comfort of A/C.

When I went out to take pictures behind my house, I figured I could use the tree that lies there for some pictures. So off I went to grab my tripod and head out the back door to use this shapeless, somehow beautiful, tree.

As I was taking the pictures I felt the urge to sit on the tree (as you can tell in the pictures I certainly did).
As soon as I took the picture I jumped off the tree and noticed my dusty hands. Every time my hands are dirty I get this urge to wash them (yes, i admit it, I'm a germaphobe). But when I got off the tree all I did was brush the palms of my hands together and for once I didn't feel the urge to wash them. Somehow the dust from the tree felt different than the dust you commonly see in your house; it just felt natural. So maybe I'm somehow outdoorsy. I admit that not fully cause I still don't like bugs or the heat, but maybe I'm like my mom in some ways :)

All I know is that after sitting on this particular tree i cant wait for cooler winds to arrive, so i can spend some afternoons, not in the comfort of the A/C, but in the comfort of some natural breeze on that dusty old tree.

p.s. Have a happy Labor day!

Mancha and pattern mixing tips

Everyone meet my cutie kitty, Mancha, for those of you wondering where Mancha (the name) comes from, it means 'stain' in Spanish.

I was never a cat lover but when this rodent joined our family last year i gained the cutest, cuddliest cat in the planet. He lets me pick him up like a baby and jumps in my lap every afternoon when i come home from work. I love this munchkin.

Oh, and he loves rain, i dunno why, he is that strange cat, and i think it goes with his mysterious look, or is maybe that he is black it makes him look mysterious? :)... anyways, whoever said black cats weren't cute, you were wrong!

Oh, it's Mancha again, photobombing, I guess we didn't take enough pictures of him, he got jealous :P

My cutie panther, taking the spotlight :P

I'm combining two of my favorite patterns stripes and polka dot, tho i also love geo patterns with polka dots.
combining patterns is soo much fun! i seriously love the contrast. Remember that if you combine patterns the key is to use either two solid colors that go together (like in this case navy and yellow) and also another tip is to make sure one pattern has a color that is also in the second pattern (like the white polka dots go with the the white stripes on the top) hope that helps if you happen to venture into pattern mixing! have fun with it ;)

So It was raining all afternoon yesterday, but it feels like its been raining non stop considering i have mentioned rain a lot in my posts lately.

With tropical storm, Isaac, brushing through the Florida keys (which wasn't bad at all and not near us) i have to tell you i'm a wuss when it comes to hurricanes, mostly when we were in tornado warning one whole night, that i couldn't sleep (not till 4am).

Is not often we get tornado warnings and considering the warning was from 11pm at night till 9am the next day, you can imagine how scared i was.
That night I took Mancha to my room and like the cutie he is he cuddle against my belly, it was comforting.
I seriously love this cat even tho sometimes he scratches and bites me when playing. :P
