A fun evening

Wearing my dress backwards, I just loved the effect it gave of a higher neck and the buttons in the front. I got this dress on my last trip to H&M

           

I've been wanting to wear this color knee socks for a while now, and finally Florida is bearable :)

this is how the front of the dress is, it was such a steal, I love it.

Mancha kept meowing at me for not petting him while I was taking pictures, so I decided to pick him up for a picture, he is such a fluff cuddle ball, I love him

He even posed next to me, he is a funny cat. I will so miss him when I leave after I get married, hopefully we can take him a few months after we are settled.

  On Tuesday my friend Lauren and I headed out to celebrate my birthday. Since she couldn't make it to my birthday dinner a couple of weeks ago, she decided to celebrate it with me. 

  For days we were trying to figure out what to do until in one of our conversations she heard I love fish, she immediately was like "have you been to Joe's crab Shack?" of course I hadn't, so we went there, she was so excited to find someone that likes seafood as much as she does so she can go this restaurant more often. Seriously, the more Lauren and I hang out the more we start noticing we have a lot of things in common, so I think that is awesome! :)

 After dinner we went to see Pitch perfect, which btw was hilarious! but we had like an hour or so to kill before the movie. It was like 8:30pm/8:45pm and the movie didn't start till 10pm, so we just walked all over the mall (not shopping) and tried to kill the calories as well.

 While we were perusing through the mall, this one guy, I'm not exaggerating, kept saying "you guys from Europe right? where from Europe you guys from?", of course I was wearing, as you can see, knee socks and Lauren was wearing her ankle boots (which in Florida It can mean you are European? lol), so I soooo blame these two items for people thinking we were from Europe lol, one guy even yelled "where are you guys headed? I'm going back to Holland!" hahah i'm still laughing...

Overall it was a fun night and I hope we get to do it more often :)

ps sorry for the blurry last intagram pic, there is so many times you can take a picture with your iphone's flashlight and not be blind afterwards, so this is the best we did :P

   Couldn't help but feeling like I was a character on 'That's 70's show', I love this skirt and that it goes great with my rust cardigan :D 

  It was a rainy day, despite the little ray of sunshine you see in the pictures, I even stepped in a puddle, and for "flat" world (meaning the shoes, not that the world is flat) its a bad combination. I seriously need to get some rain boots.

  Yesterday Anchor church held their 1st ever beach baptism and even though the water was rough and we had red flags, no one got injured :P but it was an amazing morning.

 Hello weekend!! mixing patterns once again. wore this outfit last saturday during the day (before my birthday dinner) as Chris and I went to the bank to get our accounts joined. Yes, it's official now, lol. 

 So, question, how do married people buy gifts for each other without finding out in the bank statement what is they bought for you? because Christmas is coming and so is Chris's birthday! lol

It's Thursday! which can mean only one thing: ONE DAY TILL FRIDAY! YAY! :D

    Yesterday Chris and I got to hang out with our friends Steph and Josh. We ate dinner, made brownies, talked, laughed, played with Penny (their cute little puppy) and watched Silent Hill. I had never seen the movie but I have attempted playing the game a long time ago. (can't wait for the sequel). Overall it was a fun night hanging out with our friends :)

   Soooo the big question! what do you think of the glasses? aside from the fact that I look dorky enough, lol, Chris's mom said I looked like Jess from New Girl haha. 

I got the glasses from a site I found through another blogger. the site is called called Firmoo and it gives you the first pair for free, so I said 'why not?'. I've been wanting a pair of glasses even tho I don't need them. The funny thing: the site has the option for "fashion only/ non prescription glasses" lol! It's good to know I'm not the only one out there that wants to wear them as a fashion statement :P

The great feeling of finding fun polka dot pants that fit you and then finding out they are only 2 dollars?! oh my!. Go goodwill!

On Sunday Oct 7th was my birthday and after a lovely dinner with  my friends the night before and an awesome gift card to H&M from all of them, my fiance took me to the store for a shopping spree :D

Got tons of goodies but at the same time it was hard making decisions on what to get and what to not get considering I had a gift card limit and had to stick to it and not overspend.

So! now an awkward moment: 

when your neighbors decide to come out when you are taking pictures of your outfit. 

Can you picture that awkward moment for me right now? yep, just put yourself in my shoes for that min, when all you feel are eyes on you and you don't even want to look up for the start of an awkward conversation.

welp, I did look up when one went by as he was walking his dog and said "becoming a photographer?" 

...."no, just taking pictures for a blog I have"... he just walked away smiling and saying "oh OK, good" not sure what that meant, lol all I know is I always encounter weird situations, and this one was one of them. 

I have no clue how New York bloggers take their pictures in the middle of the street as people walk by, I guess is common to see people do it there often than down here where you barely encounter a soul in the streets. who knows!

maybe I need to move to a place where people walk out on the streets all the time, so I can break out of my shell when taking pictures in public :P
