The Thirties Hit Hard

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Top: Aritzia - Pants + Cardigan: Anthropologie - Shoes: Zara - Bag: Madewell - Necklace: Made by Mary - Watch: Daniel Wellington

It was so windy when taking these photos, that I was getting hair slapped the entire time. However, I was able to present you these many pictures. Success!

These cord joggers are amazing, and I can't wait to wear them with boots and a pullover sweater when temperatures drop.
The cardigan is one I bought early this year. It's not quite cream. It has a smidgen mauve color in it, enough to remain neutral, which I love.

The birthday countdown has begun, and the older I'm getting the more I want to be able to care for my body.
I've started working out and for the first time I have continued for more than 2 days. I'm very proud of myself to say the least.

So now excuse me while I enter week 2 of working out, without any results yet...

...yeah,  the 30's hit hard my friends.

Biker Shorts

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Top + Backpack: Free People - Biker Shorts: Aritzia - Mules: Dolce Vita - Sunglasses: Madewell

Biker shorts, you either hate them or love them. I Choose the latter. There's nothing to hate imo.
I used to own a pair years ago, that I wore to death. Here is a link to an OLD PHOTO. Also Wowza! Brown Hair with red mahogany dye, we had good days.

I'm happy that biker shorts are back, and that you can style them in so many ways: Whether it be boots, mules, sneakers, crop tops with an oversized jacket, a tee, or a tunic blouse. If you are on the verge of buying them, do it.

Here I paired mine with this oversized band tee, and by oversized I truly mean it; I bought 2 sizes too big because it was the last one in stores, and your girl can't wait for a restock. How cute is the cheetah print on the classic Rolling Stones logo tho.

Unto other things, Chris and I went full moon kayaking last week, and it was a great experience! My fear of falling in the water dissipated, no idea how. If you know me you know I have fears. But who knows, maybe I'm growing out of it because life is too short to be scared to do all the fun things you want to do, right?... Still I will not ride a roller coaster again tho. But I don't consider being on a ride that turns you upside down, fun.

Along with a fun kayak adventure, we also enjoyed a fun weekend with our friends at Halloween Horror Nights in Universal. Stranger Things house? Amazing!!! If you are planning on going, have no fear...

... Be Lizette in the kayak.

Hurricane or Not.

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Top: AllSaints - Jeans: < DL1961 > Anthropologie - Hat: Brixton - Shoes: Madewell

Greetings from Florida, as we wait to see if hurricane Dorian -is, or not- coming. Gotta love the news outlet and all their "it could, it may...". But this hurricane is very sneaky so I can't blame them.

We are prepped with food, water and lemon drops (insert happy emoji on that). The hubby kept buying things in preparation for the storm like: bed fans, collapsable water containers, lanterns. Yup, anyone else out there like him?... We are ready for a hurricane or a zombie apocalypse. I can't complain.

Now to divert from a yes/no hurricane, I wore this outfit last weekend:

It was time to bust out the old wide brim hat, and I love the color on this one. I've worn it before, but this is the first time it debuts on this blog. I think.

The white sneakers are my new babies and I plan on keeping them white. I've bought all my cleaning supplies, so I will let you know how that goes! These are from Madewell and they are waaay more comfortable than the classic white leather converse. I recommend.

I will catch you on the aftermath of Dorian. Keep safe fam!

Thin Heels + cobblestone are not Friends

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Coat + Top: Aritzia - Jeans: DSTLD - Boots: Schutz

I wear these boots so much that I already had to get the heel repaired - why is cobblestone still considered a floor? - Get off the 15th century people... Thin heels + cobblestone are not friends.

I own this coat in three colors; Go big or home. I wear them to work with dresses, jeans, trousers; It's truly one of those pieces that can go with anything, even sneakers. It's Lightweight but structured.

Aritzia has definitely become one of my new favorite stores, and from time to time they put everything they have on sale, which is a big bonus. I've gotten a lot of neutral basics from there, that it's safe to say I may be a bit obsessed.

On another note, you may be wondering how I'm wearing this backless top.
Well, one of my wardrobe secrets are these Nippies. They are reusable as long as you keep them clean with each wear.
I bought mine may 2018 and they are still working perfectly. The instructions say to wash them and place them on the round hard plastic to keep it's shape. But before I do that I stick it back to the film it comes with, I feel that is why mine has lasted as long as it has, and it's still going strong.

They are a life saver for a lot of the tops and dresses I can't wear with a bra.
In my opinion? A must have.
