Hurricane or Not.

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Top: AllSaints - Jeans: < DL1961 > Anthropologie - Hat: Brixton - Shoes: Madewell

Greetings from Florida, as we wait to see if hurricane Dorian -is, or not- coming. Gotta love the news outlet and all their "it could, it may...". But this hurricane is very sneaky so I can't blame them.

We are prepped with food, water and lemon drops (insert happy emoji on that). The hubby kept buying things in preparation for the storm like: bed fans, collapsable water containers, lanterns. Yup, anyone else out there like him?... We are ready for a hurricane or a zombie apocalypse. I can't complain.

Now to divert from a yes/no hurricane, I wore this outfit last weekend:

It was time to bust out the old wide brim hat, and I love the color on this one. I've worn it before, but this is the first time it debuts on this blog. I think.

The white sneakers are my new babies and I plan on keeping them white. I've bought all my cleaning supplies, so I will let you know how that goes! These are from Madewell and they are waaay more comfortable than the classic white leather converse. I recommend.

I will catch you on the aftermath of Dorian. Keep safe fam!

Thin Heels + cobblestone are not Friends

Coat + Top: Aritzia - Jeans: DSTLD - Boots: Schutz

I wear these boots so much that I already had to get the heel repaired - why is cobblestone still considered a floor? - Get off the 15th century people... Thin heels + cobblestone are not friends.

I own this coat in three colors; Go big or home. I wear them to work with dresses, jeans, trousers; It's truly one of those pieces that can go with anything, even sneakers. It's Lightweight but structured.

Aritzia has definitely become one of my new favorite stores, and from time to time they put everything they have on sale, which is a big bonus. I've gotten a lot of neutral basics from there, that it's safe to say I may be a bit obsessed.

On another note, you may be wondering how I'm wearing this backless top.
Well, one of my wardrobe secrets are these Nippies. They are reusable as long as you keep them clean with each wear.
I bought mine may 2018 and they are still working perfectly. The instructions say to wash them and place them on the round hard plastic to keep it's shape. But before I do that I stick it back to the film it comes with, I feel that is why mine has lasted as long as it has, and it's still going strong.

They are a life saver for a lot of the tops and dresses I can't wear with a bra.
In my opinion? A must have.

You Know You Love Me

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Cardigan: Anthropologie - Shoes: Schutz - Jeans: Levi's

"Hello upper West siders, welcome to the life of Fort Lauderdale's Elite. Sorry for the silent treatment, Gossips. But Everyone needs the occasional R & R, even yours truly."

I've been re-watching Gossip Girl, and by that I mean it's kind of like when you re-watch the Office. Always running in the background (like white noise) but you are very much accomplishing other stuff.

About that R & R though. I guess mine was acquired by having my top two wisdom teeth taken out. So I can say yes, it was heavy on resting but totally lacking on relaxation.
Talk about a hell of a week and the chubbiest of cheeks, or as I call them 'Every grandma's dream to pinch'. I'm glad it's over.

Unto much more fun stuff, the hubby finally got his tattoo done. Which makes me very excited for mine coming February 2020. I will have to show you a picture of his on the next post.

...Until next time. You know you love me,  XoXo.
