A steady break from hectic

When the sweater and the boots compliment each other perfectly.

February was sort of a blur and it doesn't help that is the shortest month of the year. But good news, it's Friday, and as always I look forward to my Saturdays.
Saturdays are the only days I get to sit + relax, before cleaning the house. Also I get to make myself a fancy breakfast.

I believe your body always needs moments like that. Moments to slow everything down.

A steady break from hectic.

The Poncho

Untitled Untitled Set3 Set3 Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Poncho: Anthropologie | shirt: Madewell | jeans: DSTLD | boots: Seychelles

This is the annual sad post, where I write type how sad I am winter is almost over. As always I'm not ready to put my winter clothes away just yet. So if you see a blonde gal wearing boots in spring, you'll know it's me. I love this poncho/cape, but don't be deceived by how warm it looks. This is light enough to wear as it starts warming up here in the east coast.

Chris and I had a lovely Valentines. Our 9th Valentine!
Here are a few shots from last weekend...

Sales and delayed cold fronts.

Trying to reduce the amount of pictures for this post was hard this time. I liked almost every single shot. It was a beautiful 40-50 degree weather and boy was I able to stand outside, bundled up in this blanket of a sweater and scarf, in Florida, and not sweat? GOALS! I tell you.

I had this coat like sweater in my mind since October of last year. I kept putting off getting it because the weather wasn't giving in just yet. But I'm glad it happened that way because 1. It helped me narrow down my color choice to the lovely copper color, and 2. The sweater had a huge price drop. Hurray for sales and delayed cold fronts!

Chris and I have a fun weekend ahead for valentines. But wait, are we really in February?
Dear Time, stop fast forwarding my life {insert crying emoji}.

The playground for my creativity

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Pullover sweater: Urban Outfitters | tee: Madewell | beanie: etsy | jeans: Dstld | boots: Seychelles

The chunky cozy sweater is making an appearance once again, this time topped with a toffee colored beanie. Not kidding! That was the color description when I bought it. It's a lovely tone and it goes great with white blonde hair.

So ever since Christmas I've been on an itch to continue editing my home. It's not 100 percent where I want it,  nor do I think it will be any time soon. But when is it, really?
Every time I decorate a spot in the house I start to talk about my future visions, to what my husband says:

-"There's more? I thought we were done with decorating"...

...man, am I right?

My house is like the playground for my creativity. Just like putting an outfit together, I really love reinventing a place/room by meshing ideas, thus making a place enjoyable to the eye.
When I was younger and living in my grandparents house I would spend almost every Saturday cleaning and rearranging the furniture in my bedroom. I loved that sense of accomplishment of walking into my bedroom and feeling like I had entered a completely new room.
Redecorating and rearranging is refreshing indeed.

Soon I will share on the blog a little bit of the new edits in my home. It's been a while since I've done a home decor post. What do you think?
