Travel Fund

.20 .20 .20 .20 .20 .20 .20 .20 .20

skirt: Free People | boots: Seychelles | pullover sweater: Urban Outfitters | Necklace: Premier Designs

Chunky sweater + mini skirts + ankle (high shaft) boots. I have found a new combo to add to my style book. Although I must admit you need the right weather because this sweater sure keeps you warm, at least in Florida winters. Ive yet to try it up north.

This  past weekend Florida embraced the coldest day of this winter. And notice I said embraced, because I definitely did.
The crisp air was all sorts of wonderful and, no worries, I was not wearing this skirt. Otherwise I probably would've frozen in the 40 degree weather.

Days like that really make me want to travel up north. I need to start a travel fund. - Ready? Go!

Sheer and sequins

blouse + cami: Free People | high waist jeans: Dstld | boots: Seychelles

I loved this top and its sequin detail when I saw it on the Free People December catalog, but once I noticed it was sheer I figured it would be hard finding a top to wear under. I disregarded it, until I went to my local FP store and tried it on with this mustard cami.
You just never know how well something looks, feels and fits until you try it on [Being an online shopper has a few disadvantages].
This top twirls, moves beautifully and dresses up your favorite jeans. Yes! If you haven't noticed, my black jeans are my favorite.

It's been nice and cold around here but not complaining a bit, I've been loving it and taking advantage of it because it's Florida, and it tends to go into its sudden bizarre changes.

Today is in the 70's, with rain and we may even get tornado watches?!! Going into panic-attack-mode. I don't like that kind of weather.
The older I get, the more scared of everything I become... I can't even watch a scary movie anymore.

Is this part of getting old?

Just a little bit of sunshine

Nb Nb Nb Nb Nb Nb Nb

high waist jeans: DSTLD | boots: Seychelles | top: Urban Outfitters

It sure has been cloudy around here, and I think I miss the sun. Well, do I? I just never thought I would say that.

Cloudy weather was part of growing up in Lima, Peru. We would barely see the sun unless it was summer. It was rare seeing the rays knocking at your window sill during the winter months.
Hence cloudy skies have always been a favorite. I'm all about cool tones, something about its calming, moody vibes are refreshing to me.

Although now I don't mind it as much, I was never a fan of warm tones. Give me color pencils and I would paint you a winter morning or evening sky (purples + blues + violets + grays) If you told me to paint a sunset full of oranges, yellows, reds, I would cringe at the thought.

When I moved to the sunshine state I liked the sun until I didn't. And a lot had to do with the heat lasting beyond summer.
Finally we are getting nice cool temperatures here, but I wish rain wasn't accompanying it 70 percent of the time. So just a little bit of sunshine wouldn't hurt.

P.S. This boots have me on cloud 9. High shaft + dark gray + pointy toe. My favorite.

After a long wait a cold front has finally come our way... 2016 is off to a great start.

New years' day I cleaned the whole house, stored away all Christmas decor, and waved our Christmas tree goodbye.
It all sure resulted in some serious need-to-lie-down back pain, but regardless it felt good to get the whole house cleaned and back to self. .

2015 was great but I'm excited to see what this new year holds. Here's to another year on the blog, filled with outfits + adventures + trips + home decor + more pictures of the husband + and life.

Let's do it!
