Last week, Chris and I found a bat on the ground that couldn't take flight. It was around midnight, but I still insisted on calling a wildlife rescue center to tell us what to do.  We placed a towel next to the bat as instructed, and the so tiny/dead-like bat stretched out his wings and tiny arms pulling himself into the towel that we then hung on a tree for him to climb up.
   My heart was full.

Apparently they tend to fall off trees from the heat in summer, and once on the ground they cannot take flight. I guess this summer is just too much for them.

I thought May was already the hottest Florida would get this year, but honestly I wasn't expecting late June to boost up the heat. I'm glad for airy dresses like this one, to endure this sky rocketing temperatures.

I understand you bat, I do.
