Thrift day

On Saturday I went thrifting with my friend Lauren. It started with "let's go to the beach only, day" but after she saw the forecast for rain and thunder, we decided it'll be best not to go and so we decided to go to thrift stores instead.

It was a fun day, and she took me to goodwill for the first time! I know, I know, I've been missing out!

This was my 30 min to get ready, outfit.
Whenever you see me on a casual dress it means I didn't bother to combine tops with bottoms because of lack of time, but i thought that for 30 min. it didn't come out bad at all. What do you think?

So I've had this boater hat for 2 years now, and I haven't worn it in a while. I have like 5 other hats in the corner of my room I have to start wearing them, specially the winter hats as well! they are so cute and cant wait till its cool enough to wear them, cause wool in this hot weather is a no go.

It seems this Boater hat is popular right now, so i figured I started wearing it and jump on the trend with an old, now new hat.
The reason I had stopped wearing hats its cause i always thought i looked bad on them, but ever since i got my bangs cut right and worn my fedora a couple times and my fiance complimented me on it, I looked again in the mirror and noticed that hats don't look bad on me, at all. At least i hope so. :)

The necklace I'm wearing here is a present from my fiance's mom, (Mommy Donna)  isn't it so cute? :D it was so sweet of her to give it to me, I love it!

Happy back to the grind Monday!!!

Ps. Lauren if you are reading this, we forgot to take a picture together for the blog :( booo! meow!

  1. I think hats are one of the most under utilized accessories out there. I love how adding a topper to a look can totally change the vibe and feel of everything.
